Live: Crash between lorry and car leaves North Staffordshire road blocked

Motorists are being urged to avoid the main road through a North Staffordshire village following a crash. A lorry and a car have collided in New Road, Tean, close to the junction with St Thomas’s Road this afternoon (February 20).

Photos from the scene show the A522 is partially blocked. It is not yet known whether there are any serious injuries.

Traffic monitoring site Inrix says: “Reports of slow traffic due to accident on A522 New Road in both directions near St Thomas’s Road.”
