M4 traffic live: All traffic held after vehicle crashes off motorway
Motorway traffic has been held on the M4[1] in Wiltshire after a crash heading west this morning (Wednesday, February 14). The incident has happened between junction 16 for Swindon West and junction 17 for Chippenham.
A vehicle has left the carriageway and emergency services are at the scene with the motorway closed in both directions at one point, although only westbound is now closed. National Highways has thanked motorists for their patience.
Traffic cameras show long queues approaching the scene of the incident, which closed the westbound motorway at around 5.20am. Motorists are facing delays of up to an hour with disruption expected beyond the morning rush-hour.
