The man driving the vehicle died at the hospital shortly after the crash, police said A man in his 70s has died following a one vehicle crash in Guernsey. All emergency services attended the incident at the bottom of the Val des Terres in St Peter Port.

Guernsey Police said the man driving the vehicle died at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital shortly after the crash. The force said the South Esplanade and Val des Terres would remain closed to allow collision investigation work to be carried out. In a post on its Facebook page the force said: “Our thoughts are with his family at this sad and difficult time”.
