Police: 1 dead, 1 injured after impairment suspected crash in east valley

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) -- One person is dead and another is in life-threatening condition after an impairment suspected crash early Saturday, police said. Officers responded to a crash at North Lamb Boulevard and East Bonanza Road around 4: 12 a.m. According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD), a truck was traveling at a high rate of speed northbound on Lamb and struck another vehicle.

One person was declared dead on the scene and another was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

LVMPD said impairment is suspected for the driver of the truck.

The intersection is shut down and drivers in the area should expect delays.
