Police issue appeal as emergency services called out to Tunstall smash

Police[1] are appealing for witnesses following a two-car smash on a busy Potteries road. Officers and paramedics were called out to Reginald Mitchell Way in Tunstall[2] where they found a Fiat 500 and Seat had been in collision. Today and Staffordshire Police[3] has issued an appeal for witnesses to come forward over the smash.

The collision took place near the junction of Reginald Mitchell Way and Marlborough Way just before 8pm on Monday. Residents reported seeing a number of ‘blue lights’ at the scene. Police say the driver of the Seat, a man in his 20s, was treated for minor injuries.

A white Fiat Punto collided with a red Seat, close to a roundabout on Reginald Mitchell Way in Tunstall. “The driver of the Seat, a man in his 20s, was treated for minor injuries at the scene. The driver of the Fiat also stayed at the scene and has been helping us with our ongoing enquiries.

“We are urging anyone with any witnesses, or those with CCTV or dashcam footage, to get in touch.” West Midlands Ambulance Service[6] also attended the collision. A spokeswoman said: “We were called to reports of an RTC involving two cars at the junction of Marlborough Way and Reginald Mitchell Way in Tunstall.

There was an ambulance on scene within five minutes and staff assessed one patient who was given self-care advice and discharged at the scene.”

Witnesses should call 101 and quote incident 647 of February 5.
