Emergency services were called to the A465 near Pontrilas (Image: Hereford Fire Station) SEVERAL people were injured after two vehicles were involved in a serious crash in Herefordshire. Emergency services were called to the A465 between Pontrilas and Llangua[1] at around 4.05pm today (Saturday).

This included four fire engines, two air ambulances, land ambulances and police. A post on Hereford Fire Station's Facebook said: "Two vehicles were involved, with one leaving the roadway and coming to a rest in the verge. ALSO READ:

"Crews used Holmatro cutting equipment to deal with the entrapment and release the casualty. "Working alongside West Midlands Ambulance Service, the Midlands Air Ambulance and the Wales Air Ambulance multiple casualties were provided with trauma care before being conveyed to hospital. "The incident was left with Gwent Police and West Mercia Police for collision investigation."

"We wish all those involved a speedy recovery."

The road was immediately closed, with a diversion put in place.
