Three-car smash shuts road while person becomes ‘seriously unwell’
Emergency services were forced to shut off a key road following a three-car smash – before being called to a person who’d become ‘seriously unwell’ nearby. And the two incidents on Nantwich Road in Crewe[1] outside the town’s train station saw buses diverted from the scene. Two fire engines had been scrambled to the busy route at noon yesterday (February 11) to reports of a crash involving three cars.
The firefighters from the station in Crewe used ‘trauma kits’ to help two patients. But in a separate incident some of the team were called to help a member of the public who had become ‘seriously unwell’ nearby. They were joined by an off-duty doctor who helped out as paramedics arrived to treat that patient and those involved in the crash.
