Woman dies after M4 five-car crash
A woman has died after a crash on the M4 on Saturday lunchtime (February 10). The crash[1] happened between J19 (for the M32) and J20 (M5 near Almondsbury) on the westbound carriageway at 12:56pm. Avon and Somerset Police[2] were called to the five-vehicle collision.
Emergency services attended the scene but a woman in her 60s died at the scene. Officers are keen to speak to anyone who was on the M4 at the time of the collision who may have seen what happened. They are also appealing for dashcam footage which could assist their investigation.
Avon and Somerset Police said: “We are appealing for witnesses after a woman sadly died following a collision today. “Her next of kin has been informed and our thoughts are with them at this time. They are being offered support by a specially-trained family liaison officer.”
