A14 crash in Cambridgeshire sees lane closed and traffic queues – recap

Traffic was delayed on the A14 after a crash involving a lorry and a car on Wednesday, March 27. One lane was closed on the eastbound carriageway between Bar Hill and Girton.

Traffic monitoring site Inrix first reported the crash at 8.17am. It said: “One lane closed and queueing traffic due to accident, Car and Lorry involved on A14 Eastbound between J25 B1050 Hattons Road (Bar Hill) and J31 M11 J14 (Girton / Cloverleaf Interchange).”

A Cambridgeshire Police spokesperson said: “We were called just before 8am today (27 March) with reports of a collision on the eastbound carriageway of the A14 at the junction with the M11 near Girton. The collision, which involved an HGV and a car, blocked a lane.

“No injuries have been reported.” Traffic cleared shortly after 9am.
