Hit and run appeal after man struck by vehicle on North Wales country lane
A pedestrian was injured in a hit and run incident on a country lane. The man was walking in the Rhewl area of Mostyn, Flintshire[1], when he was struck from behind by a vehicle.
Police say the car then left the scene. They are now appealing for witnesses.
A spokesperson said: “We’re appealing for witnesses following a collision involving a car and a pedestrian in the Rhewl area of Mostyn. At around 5pm on February 19th, we received a report that a man had been hit from behind by an vehicle when walking on a country lane.
“The car did not stop following the collision. The car is described as being a silver or grey metallic people-carrier type of car and is believed to have travelled in the direction of the A55[2] or A458 in the Mostyn area.
“Anyone who witnessed the collision, or who was travelling in the area and may have seen or have dashcam footage of a car fitting this description is asked to contact us via our website or by calling 101, quoting reference 24000187328.”
