Live A1 updates as car and lorry crash leaves road blocked

A crash between a lorry and a car just over the Cambridgeshire border in Lincolnshire has left a section of the A1 completely blocked. The incident on the A1 northbound near Grantham was reported by Inrix, the traffic data company, at 11.26am.

Lincolnshire Police said: “The northbound carriageway of the A1 at Barrowby is completely blocked due to a collision with a lorry and a car. Diversions are being put in place, please avoid the area if you can.”

Inrix said: “All traffic being temporarily held and queueing traffic due to accident on A1 Northbound from A607 (Harlaxton / Melton Mowbray Turn Off, Grantham) to A52 (Grantham North / Barrowby Turn Off, Barrowby).”
