Live: M4 traffic stopped after three-car crash

All traffic has been stopped on the M4 following a crash[1] this morning (March 27). According to traffic monitoring site Inrix, three cars were involved in the collision heading eastbound. We will keep you updated in our live blog below.

All vehicles are now stationary between junction 17 for Chippenham and junction 16 for Swindon. The crash was first reported at around 8.20am.

Inrix says: “All traffic being temporarily held and stationary traffic due to accident, three cars involved on M4 eastbound from J17 A350 (Chippenham) to J16 A3102 Swindon Road (Swindon West).”
