Man dies after crash between two lorries on M50 near Ledbury
The incident took place just before 11am on Thursday morning between junction 2 (Ledbury) and junction 1 (Tewkesbury).
Police, ambulance and the fire brigade all attended the scene that involved a collision between two LGVs.
It led to lengthy delays on the M50, with people seeing walking pets and pushing pushchairs up the motorway.
West Midlands Ambulance Service sent an ambulance, two paramedic officers, the Trust’s Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman says: “On arrival, crews found one of the lorry drivers, a man, in a critical condition.
“Medics immediately began administering advanced life support but sadly, despite everyone’s best efforts, it quickly became clear that he could not be saved and was confirmed dead at the scene.
“There were no other patients”.
West Mercia Police said: "We can confirm that a man has died in the collision, and our officers are still in attendance with our emergency services colleagues and partner agencies."
