Man taken to hospital after car and motorbike crash

A man has been taken to hospital after a crash between a car and a motorbike on Monday (March 25) morning in Royston[1], just over the Cambridgeshire[2] border. The incident on the A505 roundabout at Baldock Road left the road closed[3] for just over an hour.

A Hertfordshire Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at around 8.08am today to report a road traffic collision on the A505 between a red and black BMW motorcycle and a white Kia Picanto.

“A man in his 20s has been taken to hospital with injuries which are not deemed life changing. The road was closed while emergency services attended the scene and was reopened at 9.22am.”

An East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called just after 8am with reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and a motorbike at a roundabout on the A505 near Royston. An ambulance was sent to the scene and transported an adult man to the Lister Hospital for further assessment and treatment.”

Inrix, the traffic data company, reported during the incident: “Queueing traffic due to accident on The A505 at Baldock Road, on the roundabout.”
