Mobile speed cameras in Hull and East Yorkshire Mar 17-24, including Anlaby Road
Speeds will be monitored on one of the busiest roads in west Hull in the coming days.
A mobile speed camera van will be stationed in Anlaby Road[1] in the week ahead. Enforcement officers will also be visiting a number of other routes, including Victoria Road in Beverley[2], and the A614 near Driffield[3].
Drivers can see where the mobile cameras are likely to be situated through the daily enforcement schedule on the Safer Roads Humber website[4]. However, not all locations are listed on the schedule, so motorists should take care and exercise caution when driving in the region.
Humberside Police[5], in partnership with Safer Roads Humber, will be at several other sites throughout the week that are not listed below. Humberside Police reserves the right to enforce speed limits on any road, at any time..

Meanwhile, police officers have been carrying out additional speed checks in Barton-upon-Humber using handheld devices. The Barton Neighbourhood Policing Team found most drivers were sticking to the 30mph limit, but “a couple” were “just slightly over the limit” and “were suitably warned”. In recent months, officers have been conducting spot checks in communities around the Humber region, often at the request of local residents.
In another initiative this week, a speed board was set up in Middleton-on-the-Wolds and advice was given to to speeders. Read all the latest Hull Traffic and Travel news[7] and check out our guide to everything you need to know about the Hull bus lane changes[8].
