Motorcyclist killed in A25 Oxted crash with white van
A motorcyclist died in a crash with a van in Oxted[1]. The collision happened on the A25 on Tuesday morning (March 26) – resulting in the road being closed for six hours as police investigated.
Officers were called to the scene on the main A25 Godstone Road between Old Oxted and Brook Hill at around 10.40am. Surrey Police[2] said it followed reports of a collision involving a white panel van and a motorcycle.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after the arrival of emergency services. The driver of the van suffered minor injuries.
Officers are now appealing for witnesses to come forward. Drivers with dashcam footage to help the investigation are also being asked to get in touch.
Police said: “The road was closed for around six hours, while we carried out our investigation, and was reopened shortly after 4pm this afternoon (Tuesday). We are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision, or anyone who saw either of the vehicles being driven prior to the incident, particularly if you have any dashcam footage, to contact us quoting ref PR/45240034140.”
