Live: 999 crews scrambled to three-car A50 link road pile-up

Drivers are being warned of delays in Stoke-on-Trent following a ‘three-car pile-up’. The collision has happened on the A50 link road in Fenton,[1] close to the junction with Duke Street.

Photos from the scene show a fire engine, police cars and a recovery truck is currently in attendance. One eye-witness told StokeonTrentLive: “There’s been a three vehicle pile up near King Street. Two cars are on the path and one is still in the road. One of the drivers fled the scene.”

The collision was first reported at around 4.40pm. Traffic monitoring site Inrix says: “Queueing traffic due to accident on the A50 link road in both directions at Duke Street, Fenton. Congestion to King Street towards Longton as traffic seeks an alternative route.”

StokeonTrentLive has approached Staffordshire Police and West Midlands Ambulance Service for statements. Follow our live blog below for updates as they happen.
