LIVE: Drivers caught up in gridlock chaos on A19 as police attend incident
Drivers have reported huge tailbacks as police attend an incident on the A19.
According to reports, a fleet of police vehicles are at the scene of an incident on the A19, at Crathorne, North Yorkshire. Motorists are stuck in gridlock chaos and it is understood officers have closed one lane.
One witness said: “One lane closed by police van and cars. Loads of police on the bridge and loads of officers on foot.” Pictures from the scene show long tailbacks on the A19 Northbound.
There are delays of eight minutes and the average speed is 10mph. Teesside Live has contacted police for comment.
