Overturned lorry causing issues on M11 in Essex
The M11 is also closed northbound in Essex due to separate crash involving an overturned lorry.
Traffic has been stopped since about 10.30am at the junction with the M25.
A National Highways spokesperson said:
Recovery services are now on scene, work to remove the contents of the lorry is in progress. Once complete, the lorry will be righted and recovered.
Traffic can travel anti-clockwise to J26 of the M25, exit at this point and rejoin the M25 clockwise and follow to rejoin the M11 northbound at J27.
Traffic is also being diverted via the solid diamond diversion symbol and recommended to exit at J6:
- Exit the M11 northbound junction 6 via the interchange link road onto the M25 anti-clockwise.
- At junction 25 exit the M25 anti-clockwise, at the roundabout take the 4 th exit onto the A10 ‘Great Cambridge Road’.
- Continue on the A10 north bound for approximately 7 m / 11 km.
- Exit the A10 at the A414 ‘Ware / Chelmsford / Harlow’ interchange.
- Continue following the A414 following the sign posting for ‘Harlow / Chelmsford / Motorway M11’ until the ‘Hastingwood’ interchange.
- At the ‘Hastingwood’ interchange take the 1 st exit to access the junction 7 M11 north bound directional.
