M57 closed for 15 hours as man dies after being hit by lorry
The M57 was closed for 15 hours after a man died in the early hours of Saturday.
The motorway was closed in both directions [1]between J2 for Prescot [2]and J3 for Stockbridge Village[3] following the crash on the morning of Saturday, April 20. Police and paramedics were called to the motorway just before 3.45am to reports a man had been hit by a HGV on the northbound side of the motorway.
The 48-year-old man died at the scene[4]. He has not been formally identified.
