M6 crash: Tributes to grandmother-to-be Lisa Kelsall

At around 12.15am yesterday on the M62 slip road by the M6 near Warrington.

Cheshire Police officers confirmed that Lisa Kelsall, 52, from Stoke-on-Trent, who lived in Norton, had been hit by a white Citroen Relay van.

The driver, a 47-year-old man from Preston, had failed to stop at the scene and was later arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

He has since been released under investigation.

Now, tributes have been made by Ms Kelsall’s family. They said: “A loving daughter, mother and grandmother-to-be, taken too soon.

“Rest in peace Lisa Kelsall. Forever in our hearts.”

A spokesperson for the force added: “Officers are now appealing to anyone who may have dashcam footage, witnessed the collision or saw Lisa’s car, a white Vauxhall Mokka, traveling northbound on the M6 from Staffordshire toward Cheshire prior to the incident between 11.30pm on Monday 8 April and midnight of Tuesday 9 April, to get in touch.”
