A woman was killed after being hit by a car while walking on an M6 slip road. The incident occurred around 1am today, April 9, leading to the closure of the northbound carriage between junction 21 near Warrington and junction 21A for the M62 Croft Interchange.

National Highways referred to it as a “serious incident”. And while all lanes have since reopened, the area remains congested.

Cheshire Police confirmed their attendance at an accident involving a white car. They discovered a 52 year old woman from Stoke-on-Trent[1] had been struck by a vehicle on the M6 to M62 slip road.
