Monday’s travel updates as smash leaves Stoke-on-Trent road ‘partially blocked’

This morning saw a number of delays around some key routes in the Potteries. Among those was on Weston Coyney Road near to Longton where the route was left ‘partially blocked’ following a smash.

Police attended that incident at around 7.20am with the road later reopening. Since then the A53 through Loggerheads has been shut off in both directions due to a lorry fire.

We now head into the afternoon and get ready for the evening rush-hour.
