A30 reopens hours after lorry driver crashed into bridge

A MAIN road through Salisbury has reopened hours after a crash.

Police closed London Road, A30, at around 9am this morning (May 3) as a lorry driver crashed into a railway bridge[1] near Hampton Park Roundabout..

Substantial delays were felt across the city as drivers sought alternative routes through Laverstock.

The road reopened shortly before 1pm following recovery of the lorry.

In a social media update, Wiltshire Police thanked motorists for their patience.
