A3102: Driver reported for ‘careless driving’ after crash
The A3102 was closed by Wiltshire Police just before 11am on Friday, May 3, after a lorry came off the busy road and ended up in a hedge on the roadside.
Wiltshire's Road Policing Unit and the South Western Ambulance Service rushed to the scene just south of Hilmarton, but later confirmed there were 'no serious injuries' and no other vehicles were involved in the crash.
"The Road Policing Unit are currently dealing with this incident on the A3102 near Calne," said a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police at the time.
They added: "Drivers are advised that closures are in place on the A3102 to allow the recovery of a lorry following a road traffic collision.
While it is unclear exactly how the lorry ended up on the roadside, officers from the Road Policing Unit did confirm that a driver has been "reported for careless driving".
