A361 crash: Lorry and two cars collide forcing major road closure near Frome

A road near Frome[1] is closed in both directions following a major three-vehicle crash this afternoon, Thursday, May 30. Avon and Somerset Police[2] said the collision involved two cars and a lorry.

It took place on the A361 Marston Road at around 3.10pm. At the time of writing (7.15pm), the route remains fully shut between the Nunney Catch and Marston Road roundabouts.

Police said the road is likely to remain closed for some time. Motorists have been urged to avoid the area and to find alternative routes instead.

Avon and Somerset Police said: “Emergency services are responding to a three-vehicle collision on the A361 Marston Road, near Frome. The A361 is shut between the Nunney Catch and Marston Road roundabouts.

“A collision, involving two cars and a lorry, was reported to police at about 3.10pm this afternoon (Thursday 30 May). The road is likely to be closed for some time so we’d please advise people seek an alternative route.”
