A46 traffic live: Fatal crash blocks major road near Evesham

A fatal crash involving a lorry and a pedestrian has closed a key commuter route linking Gloucestershire and Evesham in Worcestershire. A collision on the A46 at Ashton under Hill is causing delays this morning (Tuesday, May 7).

The incident has happened on the stretch of road between the Teddington Hands roundabout and Hinton on the Green. It happened at around 6am and emergency services are at the scene.

West Mercia Police said the 28-year-old pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The road will remain shut until around 2pm.
