Audi driver arrested after crash on Cambridgeshire A-road

A man was arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit after a crash on Tuesday (May 14). The crash happened on the A47 between Wansford and Duddington shortly before 3pm.

Police were called at about 2.50pm to reports of a two-vehicle crash. Both drivers sustained minor injuries.

The crash involved a black Audi A4 and a yellow Transit van. The Audi driver was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs.

A Northamptonshire Police spokesperson said: “This involved two vehicles travelling in the opposite direction – a black Audi A4 and a yellow Transit van – and resulted in both drivers sustaining minor injuries.

“The driver of the Audi – a 39-year-old man from Peterborough[1] – was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs. He has since been released on police bail pending further investigation.”
