Staffordshire[1] Police officers and medics from West Midlands Ambulance Service[2] were sent to the scene but the 24-year-old could not be saved. A spokeswoman for the ambulance service said: “We were called to reports of an incident on the A50 at 2.59am on Saturday (May 11) morning. Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and two doctors attended the scene.
“On arrival we discovered one patient, a man, who was in a critical condition and already receiving basic life support from police colleagues. Ambulance staff began administering advanced life support but sadly, despite everyone’s best efforts, it became apparent nothing could be done to save the man and he was confirmed dead at the scene.”
