Inquest of man, 32, who died in A140 crash adjourned
The inquest into the death of a man who was killed in a crash on the A140 in mid Suffolk has been adjourned.
On Friday, further information relating to the inquest of Henry John Smith was heard at Suffolk Coroners’ Court in Ipswich.
Mr Smith, 32 and from Stutton, was travelling northbound down Brockford Street in mid Suffolk shortly after 10pm on November 28, 2022[1], when his silver Ford Galaxy overturned onto its roof.
The court heard that it is thought that a second male travelling in the vehicle then left the scene.
The car was then struck by a lorry which was travelling in the opposite direction.
It was previously heard in court[2] that this caused Mr Smith to be thrown from the car.
Police and paramedics were called to the scene, but Mr Smith died from his injuries.
The inquest has now been adjourned until September 9 as further investigation needs to be carried out, the court was told.
