Littlehampton crash: Girl, 5, and woman, 35, taken to hospital

Police were called to Daisyfields in the Wick area of Littlehampton at 11.30am on Saturday, May 4. 

The crash involved a black Mercedes A180 and a grey Ford Transit van.

The girl, a passenger in the Mercedes, was seriously injured and taken to hospital. 

The driver of the Mercedes, a 35-year-old local woman, was also taken to hospital but her injuries were not thought to be serious.

The Ford Transit is believed to have been empty at the time.

Police are now appealing for witnesses and information. 

A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “Officers are investigating the collision and are appealing for anyone with relevant CCTV, dashcam and doorbell footage to come forward.

“In particular anyone with footage of the vehicles in the area at the time is also asked to report it to us.

“Information can be reported to us online, quoting serial 537 of 04/05.”
