Live: Huge M6 delays after crash between truck and motorhome

Motorists are facing long delays on the M6 following a collision between a truck and motorhome. And during the height of the incident near Knutsford two lanes were shut off.

Now there are queues of around five miles following the smash. National Highways say the incident took place ‘within Junction 19’ on the southbound stretch.

Traffic had been going all the way back to Junction 20 as the lanes were closed. All lanes have since been reopened – but delays remain.

Traffic monitoring system Inrix is reporting queues of around five miles.
