Live updates as M6 blocked and ‘severe delays’ after crash
The M6 Northbound is currently blocked with severe delays expected.
Travel Monitor Inrix states: “M6 Northbound blocked severe delays, queueing traffic due to accident, a van and a car involved at J23 A580 East Lancashire Road (Haydock). Congestion to J20 (M56 Interchange).”
Travel time is expected to be over an hour for motorists stuck in the queues.
Highways England posted on X stating traffic had been “stopped” and drivers can expect “long delays”.
