M6 closure live after serious lorry crash as police warn ‘likely to be shut for several hours’

A section of the M6 southbound has been closed tonight after a serious crash between a lorry and a car. The motorway is closed at junction 4 for Coleshill.

Warwickshire Police officers are at the scene. Officers warned the carriageway is likely to be shut for several hours.

The force has urged drivers to avoid the area and follow any diversions. It is not known yet if there have been any injuries.

The road is not accessible from the roundabout near the junction, police said.
