Man, 28, killed on A46 near Evesham as police launch witness appeal
A pedestrian was killed in a lorry crash. The 28-year-old died after the incident near Evesham.[1]
West Mercia Police[2] said it happened near the layby on the A46, close to the Beckford Road turning in Dumbleton, at 6am on Tuesday, May 7. The force launched an appeal for information.
Police want to hear from anyone who may have dashcam footage of the collision. Also, anyone who saw the pedestrian or lorry in the minutes before the collision.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, police posted: “Did you see a collision on the A46 near Evesham at around 6am this morning? We’re appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian, a 28-year-old man, died following a collision with a lorry. It happened near the layby on the A46, close to the Beckford Road turning, in Dumbleton.
“We’d like to hear from anyone who may have dash-cam footage of the collision, or of the pedestrian or lorry in the minutes before the collision. Please contact Pc Rory Grint-Smith on 07971 395 408 or [email protected] quoting incident number 43i of May 7 2024.”
