Man taken to hospital after van overturns on A28 in Chartham

A man has been taken to hospital after his van overturned on a busy A-road.

The A28 Ashford Road was blocked in one direction following the accident at Howfield Lane in Chartham.

A police spokesperson said: “Kent Police was called to a report of a collision between a van and a car on the A28 near Chartham at 2.15pm.

“Officers attended along with South East Coast Ambulance Service and a man was taken to a local hospital with injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.

“One lane of the road was blocked while the incident was responded to but reopened shortly before 4pm.”
