Cyclist in his 20s dies in dual carriageway crash

A cyclist has died following a crash on a dual carriageway.

At about 05:45 BST, the driver of a white VW Golf struck the rider of the bicycle on the A4500 in Northampton.

It happened on the eastbound carriageway near to the junction with Weedon Road and the cyclist, a man in his 20s, died at the scene.

Northamptonshire Police is appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward to help with the investigation.
