Live A14 traffic updates today as crash near Godmanchester causes miles of queues
A person has been taken to hospital following a crash involving a van and a lorry on the A14 today (Thursday, June 27). Two lanes were shut to traffic on the westbound carriageway at Junction 23 (the Godmanchester turn-off).
The closure was first reported shortly after 10am and the lanes reopened shortly after 11am. Long delays are reported in the area.
One person has been taken to hospital, East of England Ambulance Service has confirmed. We have no further details on the nature of their injuries.
A Cambridgeshire Police spokesperson said: “We were called at 9.50am to the A14 at junction 22 (Brampton interchange) with reports of a collision between a van and a lorry. The collision has caused considerable traffic delays in the area and officers are currently at the scene.”
A National Highways spokesperson said: “All lanes are now open on the A14 westbound between J23 Godmanchester and J22 Brampton) following a multi vehicle collision.
“Please allow extra time if travelling in the area as delays of 60 mins remain and approx. five miles of congestion. Thank you for your patience.”
“There are currently delays of 45 mins and approx. 4 miles of congestion.”
