Live: Crash and heavy traffic on M5 sliproad

An exit slip road[1] on the M5 has closed due to an accident this morning (Saturday, June 15). The slip road, at junction 19 for Portishead[2] and heading southbound, has one lane closed out of two lanes.

Inrix created the accident log at 10.47am today. It adds that there is heavy traffic stemming from the accident on the outskirts of Bristol[3].

Inrix: “M5 Southbound lane closed on exit slip road, heavy traffic due to accident at J19 A369 Martcombe Road (Portishead).”

It is not the only lane closure affecting the M5 however, as a lane is closed northbound between junction 20 (Clevedon) and junction 19 (Portishead). This is due to a broken down vehicle.

This is a breaking new story. Scroll down for updates.
