Live M3 traffic updates as serious accident closes lanes near Camberley and Bagshot

A serious accident involving a van and a car has brought traffic to a standstill on the M3 motorway this afternoon. The incident occurred southbound, just after Junction 3 for the A322 (Lightwater / Bagshot).

Emergency services are currently at the scene, and all lanes have been closed to allow them to attend to the situation. Traffic cameras show queues building up rapidly as a result of the closure.

A diversion is in operation. Drivers are instructed to follow the Solid Triangle symbol, exiting the M3 at Junction 3 and taking the A30 through Bagshot and Camberley before rejoining the motorway.
