Lorry bursts into flames on Devon-Cornwall border

Emergency services were called out to a vehicle fire on the A30 on the Devon-Cornwall border.

Devon and Somerset Fire Service said its crews were called out at about 12:05 BST to the road in Lifton after receiving reports of an articulated lorry carrying animal feed being alight.

Engines from Tavistock and Okehampton were also sent and extinguished the flames by 13:45, a fire spokesperson said.

Devon and Cornwall Police said officers set up a road closure on the A30 while the fire, on the westbound carriageway, was dealt with.
