M5 crash investigation as men ‘fight for life’ after Mercedes collides with lorry
Two men are ‘fighting for their lives’ in hospital after a Mercedes crashed with lorry on the M5. Police said the collision happened on the northbound carriageway near to junction 7 (Worcester) of the motorway.
West Mercia Police said a white Mercedes car collided with an HGV lorry, at 5.50pm, on Friday, June 14. The force said that the two men travelling in the Mercedes were taken to Birmingham’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital[1] with “critical injuries.”
Police launched a witness appeal. Also anyone with dashcam footage around the time of the crash is urged to come forward.
In a statement, police said: “Officers are appealing for witnesses to a collision around 5.50pm on Friday evening (14 June). The collision happened near to junction 7 of the M5 northbound, when a white Mercedes car collided with an HGV lorry.
“The two men travelling in the Mercedes were taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital[3] with critical injuries. Officers investigating would like to hear from anybody who may have seen the collision or from people with dash cam footage from around the time it happened.
