A stretch of the M5 in the West Country has been closed this morning (Friday, June 28) after a lorry collided with a bridge. The incident happened on the northbound carriageway in Somerset at around 6.50am.

Huge delays are building between junction 25 for Taunton and 24 for Bridgwater South. Emergency services are in attendance and the southbound carriageway was shut for a while to allow an air ambulance to land.
