Photographs show aftermath after lorry hit bridge on M40
Fire crews have shared photographs of the aftermath of a serious lorry crash on the M40 motorway.
A lorry went through the central reservation and hit a bridge support, a mile from junction 9 for Bicester[1] this morning (June 7).
Crews from Bicester Fire Station, Kidlington Fire Station and Rewley Road Fire Station attended the overturned HGV which had shed its load.
It led to widespread traffic disruption as the northbound carriageway was blocked and there were five miles of standing traffic on the southbound side.
