Police hunt hit-and-run driver after church wall left looking like this

Police are appealing for witnesses after a highways maintenance van ploughed into an electrical box and a church wall. The flat-bed truck hit the wall on Stone’s[1] Radford Street before leaving the scene ‘shortly after’.

But photographs shared with StokeonTrentLive show the destruction left behind with the wall in pieces and what appears to be an electrical box destroyed. The crash occurred at around 11pm on June 11.

Today Staffordshire Police[2] have issued an appeal for witnesses.

A police spokesman said: “We are appealing for information following a non-stop collision in Stone involving a highways pick-up truck. It happened on Radford Street when the pick-up truck collided with a wall. Shortly after, the truck headed in the direction of the A51 following the collision. No-one was injured.”

Witnesses should call the force on 101 and quote incident 258 of June 12.
