Shocking incident saw man and woman set A10 speed camera on fire

Shocking footage has shown the moment a man set fire to a speed camera along the A10.

Early on Saturday, as traffic travelled along the road, a car pulled up next to the 40mph camera at Setchey.

CCTV footage seen by the Lynn News captured a man climbing on top of his vehicle before attempting to hoist what appears to be a tyre over the top of the camera.

Meanwhile, the woman with him watches from the road, with drivers forced to swerve out of the way.

After around 45 seconds, the camera ignites, with the entire structure going up in flames.

The man and woman then get back into their car and drive in the direction of Watlington, nearly crashing into an oncoming van.

Police were called to the incident at 7.23am.

A Norfolk Police spokesperson said: “Officers attended the scene, alongside the fire service. No one was injured.“

The incident is being treated as arson. Enquiries are ongoing.”
