Speed cameras on Glasgow’s M8 motorway have been removed

Safety Camera Scotland[1] (SCS) has said the temporary average speed cameras on the M80 and M8 have been taken away.

We previously reported the cameras were enforcing a 40mph speed limit on the M8 motorway between Junctions 13 and 14.

It comes as Amey - on behalf of Transport Scotland - was carrying out essential resurfacing work on the M8 eastbound - which includes the M80 off-slip road at Junction 1.

Now, SCS has confirmed the cameras have been removed following the completion of the works.

A spokesperson for Safety Camera Scotland said: "Work has now been completed by Amey on the M80/M8 and the temporary average speed cameras which were enforcing have now been removed."
