Van driver dies in A2 crash

A man has died in a crash on the A2 in Kent on Friday, police have said.

Kent Police said it was called to the coastbound carriageway near Cobham at about 16:15 BST following a collision involving a lorry and a van.

The driver of the van, a 50-year-old man, died at the scene and the passenger, a 20-year-old man, was taken to hospital by air ambulance and is in a “serious condition”.

The driver of the lorry had minor injuries, Kent Police said.
