A47 eastbound closed at Swaffham after crash

A road remains closed after a crash involving two vehicles this morning.

Police were called to the A47 at Swaffham at 10.51am today following reports of the collision between a car and a van.

Emergency services are currently on the scene, including paramedics and firefighters.

The road is currently closed in the eastbound direction.

National Highways has put a diversion route in place:

– Exit the A47 at Lynn’s Hardwick roundabout

– Take the fourth exit onto the A10 southbound

– At Downham roundabout take the first exit onto the A1122

– At Stradsett turn right onto the A134, signposted for Thetford

– At Mundford roundabout take the first exit onto the A1065 northbound

– Re-join the A47 at Swaffham interchange

The East Anglian Ambulance Service has been contacted for an update on the crash.
