Audi driver fights for life after A38 horror crash with lorry
The driver of an Audi has been left fighting for life after a horror crash on the A38 in the early hours. The crash involved an Audi car and a lorry at the junction of the A38 and Derby Road in Stretton, Burton-on-Trent at around 1.36am on Wednesday (July 17).
The ambulance service sent two ambulances, two paramedic officers and two East Midlands Ambulance Service Paramedics, an ambulance and the East Midlands Ambulance Service Care Team. Staffordshire[1] Police and Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service also attended.
In total three patients were treated, with one, the Audi driver in his 20s suffering head injuries and requiring advanced life-support before being rushed to hospital. He remains fighting for his life in a ‘critical condition’.
